Katie poofed into the Hades Cabin, hearing there was a new camper. Well, Death was flying around camp so she'd told her. But Katie could hear the new camper's thoughts, anyway. "'Ello," she said, "Katie Butler, daughter of Hecate and cabin leader, you must be new camper?" Katie searched the girl's mind. "Summer Anderson. And you're daughter of Hades."

Death huffed in annoyence. "I am not an owl, I am a dragon! And a skeleton! And I talk!"
Katie sighed. "So I've heard," she grumbled.

Death cocked her head at Summer, then muttered, "Whatever."
Katie sighed. "That's no way to treat new campers," she chided.
